What a will doesn't cover

Some things pass outside your will, so check them on their own.

Pensions: fill in your provider's 'expression of wish' form.
Life insurance: it may be 'in trust' to someone already.
A home owned as 'joint tenants' goes straight to the other owner.
Joint bank accounts usually pass to the other account holder.

Good to know

Not sure how your home is owned? The Land Registry can tell you for a small fee.
